It is awesome
Titros · Apr 11, 2026 · Version 4.7The best , better than any other famous dictionary
K_link90 · Dec 2, 2024 · Version 4.7I’ve been using this dictionary for years. As a native English speaker studying Chinese, I find it straightforward, easy-to-use, and reliable. I know it has other features as well (e.g. saving flash cards for memorization practice, which I used for awhile and found helpful), but most of the time I stick with its basic dictionary function. I will use other dictionaries for example sentences, Chinese-language definitions, or more in-depth character history, but this one is still a very good first-stop resource for a quick, accurate English translation of a word or character.
William Alexander IV · Jun 26, 2024 · Version 4.7I have been using the app for years. I love the flashcards, daily sets, and the ability to search and study without the internet. Just a great app. As we all know sometimes when you update your Apple device things go a little screwy, well this happened twice to me and reset several apps including KTDict. No advanced features 0-: I contacted the developers and both time I received immediate responses and resolutions without having to purchase the upgrades again (and again). If you are planning on learning Chinese get the app and buy the upgrade….. and then use it, it really helps
willsot1961 · Jun 17, 2024 · Version 4.7I’ve tried a variety of Chinese translation apps, none of them are as easy to use and comprehensive as this across various platforms.
Banjolier · Oct 26, 2023 · Version 4.6This is an excellent mac app! It's perfect for learning Chinese as a second language.
Twarge · Sep 27, 2023 · Version 4.6I use Pleco on mobile devices and find this an excellent macOS program with many uses for Chinese learning and reference. The two programs work somewhat differently, with different strengths and applications. Together or separately, they provide great Chinese learning and reference tools. I highly recommend this program.
Pogodian · Jun 27, 2022 · Version 4.3.1I’ve found this dictionary format to be essential in learning written and spoken Chinese.
Big Saturday · Jun 3, 2021 · Version 3.2.2I use it all the time. If it had a section that include finding stroke order and finding a word using pin yin, this would be the perfect app for me. But still a great app better than 95% of similar apps I tried. I’m trying to relearn my Chinese so I have a little bit of head start interns of understanding certain things. So it’s a great app for me.
seanpan123321 · Apr 18, 2021 · Version 3.2.2I'm learning Chinese so I must find a dictionary app. So far so good. Thanks for developing this!
neugiersstudio · Apr 14, 2021 · Version 3.2.2Only a few apps out there that allow you to write a character that you don’t know and allow you to find it after you draw it. Definitions comes out right away. Also has a speaker function that pronounces the character. On top of that it has function that draws the correct stroke order and how it looks like in calligraphy. Great app.+++
silvertogold · Mar 18, 2021 · Version 3.2.2Very happy with the quality of translations for this dictionary app. There are ads, but they are unobtrusive. Highly recommend.
DP8912 · Feb 11, 2021 · Version 3.2.2Must have
Chris_Norcal · Dec 7, 2020 · Version 3.2.2As a learner of Chinese, I appreciate both methods of writing and the standard manner of pronunciation and speaking.
lanimoo! Blossom · Dec 1, 2020 · Version 3.2.2I use it for the exam
Ssxakm · Oct 13, 2020 · Version 3.2.2Can search in so many ways
M2HEIN · Oct 3, 2020 · Version 3.2.2Very nice
Sam432976 · Sep 12, 2020 · Version 3.2.2I find everything I need, including internet slang.
MrNo_is_on · Jul 28, 2020 · Version 3.2.2Great help in finding Chinese language combinations and uses
Lloyd San · Jun 12, 2020 · Version 3.2.2It is super good! Best Chinese dictionary. It is filled with all of the Chinese words!
ming1053usa · May 14, 2020 · Version 3.2.2Very well designed, and good Chinese English dictionary, thank you.
Deut4oo39JC5146 · May 6, 2020 · Version 3.2.2I speak mandarin very well but do not read well. The way this dictionary’s designed is perfect for helping my to learn to read!!
QiKeJi · Feb 23, 2020 · Version 3.2.1My favorite is the reader, better than Pleco. Get the premium version it’s worth it. You can even select different font styles and have the choice of mainland, TW, HK for voice reading. Also character reference on the side of the reading pane and can add words to flash card practice. Characters are large. I will say that the character photo scanner didn’t work force the first time I tried but I haven’t tried again. If they had a stroke order or practice function for learning to write this would be even better.
macstermind · Dec 7, 2019 · Version 3.2I have studied Chinese for about 8 years and now have a masters degree fluency. I have used this app since the very beginning and it still is the best I’ve ever found.
OuYangTao · Nov 9, 2019 · Version 3.2Could be even better if it includes the meaning of the radical or parts that form the character.
Jon Wain · Nov 5, 2019 · Version 3.2Great dictionary tool
lwirjo · Sep 2, 2019 · Version 3.2You can look words up by typing in English, Chinese, or Pinyin which I think is amazing.
oorangelemon · Aug 13, 2019 · Version 3.2One of the best apps for Chinese. Love that I have access even with no service so I can look up things in the woods when I’m walking with my son.
