KTdict, the app
The free version of KTdict shows advertising through Google AdMob. KTdict sends a request to Google to fetch an ad, and if you tap an ad the interaction goes through Google's servers. Ad requests are always marked as non-personalized, so you are not tracked across other apps or websites. Where local law requires a consent choice, KTdict shows Google's consent form, and you can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy Settings.
The paid version shows no advertising at all, and the Mac and Apple Watch versions show none either.
If you opt in to share usage data or crash logs with app developers, we receive anonymous usage statistics and crash logs through Apple and use them to improve KTdict.
Your data inside KTdict — search history, flashcards, reader documents — is stored in your own private iCloud storage. It is not accessible to us, is not shared with any third party, and is subject to the iCloud Terms and Conditions.
Dictionary lookups, the reader and the flashcard trainer all work offline. Looking up a word does not send that word anywhere.
This website
This website does not use cookies, and carries no analytics or tracking of any kind.
It stores two things in your browser's local storage: which device's screenshots you chose to view, and which language you chose. Both stay on your device, are readable only by this site, and are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
The web server keeps standard log data — operating system, device, browser, screen resolution and the IP address you connect from. We do not share this with third parties.
